A high-quality microphone will save time and its design and features can facilitate the reading workflow and even improve your posture. Wheter you are working as a teleradiologist or in a hospital, some key features are important to consider when choosing a wireless speech recognition headset.

High sensitivity and speech recognition

A wireless dictation headset needs to accurately capture the doctors voice. It should reliably differentiate it from any background noise and activate itself only when speaking or by activation of the recording button. Only a few things can frustrate me more than if my speech is not captured properly of if I have to repeat my findings several times. Ergonomy

If you´re using a handheld speech recognition microphone, you may put it down between reports. Naturally, I cannot answer this question for everybody. I personally have tested several options and I love the SpeechOne by Philips*. However, this is because I put my focus on dictation and speech recognition. If you also want to have stereo sound or over ear options, this may not be the best option for you. This is why I presented several options that hopefully also fulfill your personal needs. Be aware that the price differs significantly between these options.
